And off they go
So the Brazilian team lost - while I was cheering (and not so secretly) for the French team on the day of the game, even I was in stupor for a little bit - to be out of the game so early! And booted by the French team!
It's strange how a short while ago you could not go anywhere without hearing about the cupa, or you would have to make a huge effort to not incorporate the game into your routine. I was extremely annoyed that I had to wait for a bus for 35 minutes when normally the bus comes every 8 minutes, just because there was a match. Things come to a halt and stores close whenever there's a game. While I love that passion they have for their home team, I am quite bugged by this.
Anyway, it is strange that nowadays futebol seemed to have vanished. All of a sudden you stop seeing Brazilian flags around the city. People look more glum and avoid talking about it altogether.
I wonder what Ronaldo is doing now? Perhaps breathing a sigh of relief that it was not his fault that they lost the game? Or that he is finally out of the spotlight (and hence the spotlight of blame?)

I hope the French wins this time around. By that time, don't let any of your Brazilian friends know that you are going to study in Paris, or else...hahah
GO ZIDANE! ;)
