Que sera, sera

As of today I have officially reached the mark where I have only 60 days left in Brazil.

Before I came to the country, it did not occur to me that 2.5 months would go by so quickly. It's funny that no matter how much you travel, sometimes it's still hard to fathom and properly grasp the concept of time (and time management!) until you are at your destination and started your work. As of the moment, I felt that the best way to cope with this "new understanding" of the scope of my work here in Brazil is to just take it as it goes- and hopefully my work will be fruitful, successful, and be done with grace and efficiency :)

This week has been one of the most productive weeks I have had in my CEED, as well as my AIESEC career. Coffee chats with members, meetings with learning partners/potential TN takers, meetings...things happen so fast, but they all look so promising that I would not dare to stop working for a second, for fear that any delay would halt the development of the Local Committee of AIESEC Curitiba.

On the other hand, the past weekend was a great weekend for me. I went out friday and saturday night with AIESECers and other locals to check out local bars/clubs, as well as going on city tours. Sadly my aging body would not tolerate the madness of the routine and as of now I am quite sick, but like always, I don't take days off my work and just manage to talk to people in between sneezes and sniffs.

So finally I managed to get my act together and uploaded some of the pictures on my digital camera. I am very camera-happy and therefore I have taken around 270 pictures so far- many of them meaningless but were fun to capture during that moment. Others were moments of brilliance or just demonstration of a bit of a drunken frenzy. Hahahahaha.

Below is one of my all-time favourite pictures - taken on a sunny Sunday afternoon with two good friends, Mao, a trainee from Colombia, and Lizi, the LCP of AIESEC Curitiba. The weather was great, a talented musician was strumming and singing a soft, lovely song on his guitar, and our stomachs were full with yummy sandwiches, fries and beer- the day just could not be any lovelier...

Cooper Anderson is here and he's part of AIESEC Toronto no matter what. Make sure you do a 360 before you turn on CNN from 10-12. Remember that Anderson Cooper never forgets to post his pictures. "Be honest about what you see, get out of the way, and let the story reveal itself" Lastly, Anderson Cooper doesn't drink beer. Be sure to follow his example and see you in Toronto in 60 days.
