On the go
I love travelling. Travelling reminds me of who I am and keeps me grounded. It reminds me that there are still some goodness out there in the world - why else would some complete stranger help you get to bus stations, help you make phone calls or host you in their house for two months if not out of genuine kindness?
I've been on the go, travelling to foreign countries and such since last year, but nothing compares to what I am doing this year -in just the past two weeks I was on the plane four times- while for some people that's not a big deal, it is a big deal for me. Speaking limited Portuguese and having a limited budget, I was able to tour different cities in Brasíl, crash at friends' houses, go to random pubs and parties, and marvel at tourist attractions and nature's wonders in this amazing country. I am really loving here and I know I will definitely have a hard time leaving this country - and I only have one month left.
I am running out of ways to express my gratitude to family, friends and strangers who help me in my life, career and whatever else. I was dangerously running out of money a couple of weeks back and thank to my hosts I didn't have to go hungry. I was pathetically sick two weeks ago and had coughing fits in random places and thanks to my friends, I am now doing okay.
In Chinese we have a saying: "We are all brothers within the four seas" - hooray for friends.

Next time: arts and crafts obsession, collage mania!
